Default Probably the last box for the year

This is a jewelry box made from Myrtle with a Banksia lid insert. I am unsure what the internal tray is made from as it was just some timber I had in my stash, but was very nice to work with.
I have only used the cheap strap hinges on this one and I have always had dramas with alignment of the lid that required lots of finessing around to get right. I think I have finally worked out what is required to get good alignment first go now.
    The dims are 250 x 160 x 90

Very nice box Dallas, great work. And yes lining up lids at times can be a real pain. Sometimes they work out near perfect, other times just that smidgeon out. I've got two boxes on the go at present, they will be my last also before Christmas. Also another project over in the "musical instruments section", check that one out. But I won't get any more done on that before Christmas either.

We're heading over to Molong Sunday week for about 10 days to have Christmas with second son and his gang. Other son in Sydney will visit up there also.

Have a great Christmas Dallas and keep those nice boxes happening.

Thanks Paul. I hope you have a great Christmas too and a safe trip. Lots of kilometers ahead of you there. We only have to travel about 45 kilo's to our son's new house this Christmas.
