Default Qld Maple and Sassy box, finger jointed.

Another little box. This time I've used finger joints rather than dovetails. Box is made from Qld Maple (from Mapleman), and Sassy panel. Measures around 230mm x 120mm. It's a gift for friend who is moving interstate.

    Cheers,

    ajw

Trend Timbers in Windsor has Sassy. I have a pack of veneers that I use.

    Thanks ajw
I really love the lid your box. If you don't mind me asking exactly how did you do this ( very new woodworker here).

My guess is veneer the sassy to ply or mdf and make a groove in the box sides and a toungue in the veneered panel?

Lid is simply a piece of ply with the sassy veneered to both sides. A groove to match was cut in the box.

    cheers,

    ajw
