Red Cedar Box
Hi all, Bit of a different design. Red Cedar from Mummulgum in northern NSW. Milled about 10 years ago from a fairly young tree. (about 80 years old) The colour changes from heart to sapwood, grain is noticeably more open compared to "old growth" timber.

Tried out doing dovetail miter keys, 3 degree slope with the lid the same dimensions as the base.[/SIGPIC]Pigs a#@*.

nice job
really like the arches between the feet which is something I've been experimenting with
red cedar is a beautiful timber and the grain on the top confirms that
I'm still trying to work out how big it is
