    Default Red Tulip.

Lovely timber, and bought some antique style hardware specifically to give it a gothic look.

I was surprised to find that this is one of those times when life is NOT a box of chocolates.....

That hardware really goes well with it, nice job DD.

Beautiful work. Big fan of the hardware choice too, the feet are especially nice.

Thanks all. The hardware came from Hong Kong and is cast so smaller objects like the clasp break very easily with the slightest bit of tension. You will notice the little knob on the stay is missing, it broke off the first time it was used and the stay has broken again after gluing it back together from the first break. I have told the supplier and he will replace them but i doubt the quality will ever get better. The larger pieces like the legs and hinges seem to be up to the task.
