Removing tape marks
I had forgotten about a box that was in production, well forgotten the tape that I had put on a while back and now there are tape marks on the wood as in pictures below. Does anyone know the best way to remove these? I have wiped with Metho and given a sand but they are still visible.
any help would be appreciated.
ps. The green tape was on for several months through the lockdown.

Try some acetone or nail polish remover. I use it to clean up super glue that dripped where it shouldn't have dripped, works fine.

Thanks Alex, but they are definitely remnants from the tape. I put it on to keep the things lined up and left it on for far too long. I will give Pauls suggestion of acetone a crack. If sticky I generally use fly spray as its great for breaking down sticker gum, but I don't want it smelling like mortein, so will try that second. plus a truck load of sanding.
