Both look great and very original design, I really like the second box.
Doesn't need it but you could use the internal surface to insert a shelf or something that slides along on the angled pieces?

It was an experiment that I tried, so that music (which had no copyright problem, a folktune) would play whilst thread/post was being viewed and actually can be dragged to the task bar and repeats itself until closed.
Brett your idea of a shelf was noted but in this instance it would mean a trip down to Sydney to implement.
