I seem to have skipped a picture of the inside of the main box but it has pieces of 4.5mm thick Rosewood attached to the inside front and back for the tray to slide on - can just make it out in the background of the closeup of the tray.
I cut the finger joints with my very expensive square-tipped ripping blade on the table-saw (3.2mm kerf). The jig I set up attaches to my table-saw sled and has a fine adjustment which I didn't think would be necessary until I went to use it the second time on different timber . Odd that timbers of different density need different width pins for a comfy fit
