Alex
they look great
But you do know what comes next ... and that's selling a jig to make stave boxes !!!
For those wondering, the story behind the Gifkins dovetail jig is that after making a stack of presentation dovetailed boxes for the Auckland Commonwealth Games, Roger decided there had to be an easier way and developed his jigregards from Alberta, Canada

Beautiful work and what a nice honor to be chosen to do it. How did you do the linings?

Two thin layers of craft foam were laminated together around a cylinder form, then the satin was stuck to the foam with double-sided tape, and wrapped around and taped behind. The liners were then stuck inside the box with contact adhesive.
Watch AWR for a full write up.

Ingenious! Thanks. My fingers have a hard time when it comes to fussy things like satin. Looks like you've got it down though.

Beautiful display of Australian design, skill and timbers. Looking forward to the AWR article.
