Shipping a box to the UK
Hi all,
Sorry if this is in the wrong place!
I want to send a box as a present to someone in the UK, but the VAT and importers fee are additions I don't want to have to pay. Can anyone tell me if it's possible to send the box without having to pay these extra charges please?
Regards
Rob

Hi Rob, I have sent a couple of items to the UK and have not had to pay charges at all. The customs declaration form should be clearly marked as a "Gift" then you should not have a problem. Cheers Brian.

Over time I've dispatched several boxes to the UK and other parts of the world of various sizes and value. The only statement Australia Post requires relates to the dangerous goods declaration, other than that never a problem.Tony Ward
