Silky Oak Box
This box is made from lovely Silky Oak and incorporates inlay using Australian Cedar and Huon Pine. The Art Deco inlay design was drawn up for the laser to cut out using kerf offset. A pocket was then routed into the lid to house the finished inlay medallion.
The banding is also Huon Pine.
The box is lined with a quality blue suede leather.
Thank you Aldav for the quality hinges and the Button Lock is from McJings. The box has been fine sanded to about 400 grit and has been finished with OSMO Polyx oil.

Very nice box Ruddy, very impressive indeed, That inlay would not be easy at all. Lining looks great also.
