Stunningly beautiful box. Did you make from your own design, or is it from a purchased plan?

Lovely work
If you don't mind me asking, what is your process of applying the kunos oil?

Alex, I really like the proportions of that box, fantastic. Workmanship is superb as usual.

Thanks all.
It's my own design. The client & I discussed what was wanted, (trays, ring holder, drawer) chose the timber & left it to me - the best kind of commission.
Was that just a lucky guess?
I sand to 800 grit, then apply a coat of shellac as a sanding sealer. I re-sand lightly with 800.
I use the oil cut 50/50 with bio thinners. First, I apply a flood coat and let it soak in for about 15 minutes before wiping off any excess. When it is dry, I wipe on two or three light coats at least 12 hours apart, buffing each coat one it starts to tack - about 10 minutes. At least a day after the last of these, I apply a coat with 0000 steel wool and wipe of the excess. Again, buff it when it starts to tack.
After that, I like to buff with an almost dry cloth whenever I'm oiling something else.
I tell the purchasers they should oil it once a day for a week, once a week for a month, once a month for a year and once a year on their birthday - but I've already done the once-a-day bit.

So how many boxes do you have at your place now Alex?Cliff.
If you find a post of mine that is missing a pic that you'd like to see, let me know & I'll see if I can find a copy.
