A very simple box or case
I wanna make something to store my ER32 collet chuck and collet set in. These items are used in a milling machine to hold milling cutters.
I'm thinking two layers of 25mm Jarra or Myrtle, hinged along one side, with some sort of clip on the other. The inside will be milled out with pockets to accommodate the various bits and pieces. Approx size will be 50mm thick, 100mm wide x 250mm long.
I'd really like that old world knocked around look, in a reddy/orange appearance.
1. Which timber?
2. Which hinges?
3. Which catch (or disk magnet)
4. What finish?
5. A better form of construction?
