    Default A Special deep box

I wanted to make a box for a friend that was attractive and very light. Finding something that was 150 x 10 mm seemed impossible so I hit upon an idea to laminate several pieces (camphor laurel and Japanese pear) up to the width I required. Then I thought "why not" and laminated two pieces to form the top. The result was this box which has an inner carriage for small items.

Very pretty! Great use of the timber. Hope the friend was appreciative.
