Looking good, Andy. Love the way those handles look.

Looks stunning. But pardon my asking, but how does this thing work and how do people view images?
I did a Google search and got some very unsavoury results that were not connected with your creation!

Hi TP1,
This view might explain things a bit better. Each handle on the side rotates one reel inside. The selected images are viewed from the front, through the brass frame which is divided into three. There is a low powered fluoro inside at the bottom rear, to project some light, and works well in a darkened room. Basically the viewer mixes and matches text and images, some of which do align... create your own narrative!
And as for content, some of it is quite lewd, with excerpts from some pretty infamous erotic books, and images from various sources, including classic old Japanese scrolls. I have to mind which position the reels are in before I photograph!!

Andy, It's an absolutely superb reproduction.
A revisit of Andy's first post, may indicate how close to the truth you are with your search.Kev

Anything new in the pictures?
This is certainly a very exotic piece on display or do I mean erotic?
Yes , well done.woody U.K.

Thanks Alex, and others who have commented, It is probably the best piece of woodwork I have done, and am reasonably happy with the outcome. Sometimes an idea exceeds one's ability, but this one worked, and I extended my repertoire in attempting it. One day I might attempt something similar using M&T instead of dowels!
