Tasmanian Oak & Myrtle Box
Hey guys, this is basically my first proper box I have made, it is designed to sit under my mum's computer screen to raise it to her desierd height. I included the draw as an extra for somthing small such as a note pad and pen. I chose to make the top with MDF as it is not visible owing to the computer screen and there for is cheap and effective.
Comments appreciated.

Hey, thanks for all the positive comments guys (:
for the finish I used 3 coats of Gold Teakwood oil and then rubbed in some bees wax.
Keep the comments coming,
Oh and to Bob T; it sure did pay of, as today mum bought me a Bosh Jigsaw!
I bought some more Myrtle, Huon Pine and Blackwood today so I will now start cutting up on table saw and making some interesting chopping boards. Then I will continue with box making and learn dovetails etc.

There is nothing like making something that is appreciated and each time your Mum uses the computer she will be glad you made the box. Good idea to use the MDF where it will not be seen and save some good wood for another project.

The box measures;
Height= 95mm
Legnth= 260mm
Depth= 180mm
I have now started a new box made out of Huon Pine & Myrtle (similar to Wardy's two year box), as well as a chopping board made out of Huon Pine, Myrtle & Blackwood, simply to get better at using my table saw I got for Christmas (:
