Tassie Blackwood Bugle Box
I was contacted by a young man in Sydney back in January about making a box to house a Bugle he is donating to his cadet regiment for ANZAC day. We had a few conversations and he decided to fly up and visit to choose timber and discuss the finer details. The only timber i had in size was this lovely figured Tasmanian Blackwood. It was a very nervous build as the timber was not stable and kept moving around in the very dry heat we had at the beginning of the year but it turned out good and i was happy with the finished product. Once the box was received it was going of to have a foam folding made of the bugle

The Tasmanian Blackwood is stunning. A very nice box that should become an heirloom.
And my head I'd be a scratchin'
While my thoughts were busy hatchin'
If I only had a brain.

Your attention to detail has really paid off. From the Blackwood I have seen the best seems to come from Tassie.
