    Default Tassie Bog Blackwood

I was lucky enough to get hold of one piece of this beautiful timber so i made a box straight away with it and was hoping to be able to show it off at the markets but it sold within hours of listing it in my shop so i was a little disappointed in that respect but a had a leftover piece that would do a lid and a 7mm thick length that i could makea box from, a little thin for my liking but had a go anyway and it came out well. I just love the gold undertone that appears when the box is put under light. Size is 220L x 140D x 65H finished with HBO and Pete's polish.

Looks very nice and I'm sure it looks even better in the flesh. I was looking at the round handle through all the photos expecting it to be some sort of rotary catch until I got to the last photo and all was revealed. The antique style hinges really suit the box.
When you say you put the other box in your shop, does that mean you have a store for selling your boxes?

Can you provide the links as it would be good to have a look at your offerings.

Your elegant finish really brought out the character of the timber.
