Tissue boxes
SWMBO wanted a couple of tissue boxes. Seemed like a reasonable request.
First mistake was not to check out tissue box sizes. I made them to suit the Aldi brand tissues.
No big problem as they are what we use.
Making the elipse cutout and edging was a challenge and I did that via templates.
My templates need to be better. MUCH better...
On the second box, I somehow positioned the templates incorrectly. So I had to 'fix' it up.
Lateral thinking got me into the diamond shape to cover the original mistake.
Wood is Jacaranda edged with red cedar.
Rounded over to produce a shadow line, and routed feet for the other.
Two coats of shellac followed by two coats of wop, buffed with eee wax.
As always comments and critique welcomed.
