Nice build - the Birds Eye Maple looks great after whitewashing. Did you have a swear-jar in the workshop, because I imagine that it would be close to overflowing

Getting there. Currently building a few coats of Danish oil.
I should be able to get the hardware done tomorrow.
And I have no idea what happened to this tin [emoji16]

Veneered Jewellery Box
I started to line the drawers today, and aim to finish it off tomorrow.
I usually use 300gsm paper for the backing to the lining. In this instance I used velvet fabric since I couldn't get pink suede from Spotlight. It's a bit thicker that my usual faux suede but It seems to work though.
I like to use Sellotape double sided tape to keep the fabric down to the backing and a few strips to keep the backing down to the drawers/box.
The strap hinges are from Andrew Crawford and the sparkly silver / glass knobs I picked up from AliExpress.
Tomorrow I want to try and and add some hooks for her chains and a ring holder thingy as well.

And it's been done.
My first attempt at the ring holder started off good but the super glue I used to glue the foam strips down failed when I tried to wrap the cloth over and around it.
I then reverted to using contact adhesive and wrapped each finger individually. It was a sticky business but seemed to do the trick. Once the glue dried I just friction fitted them into the compartment I made for them. If they come out I will glue them all down but for now they seem to hold pretty well as is.
All that remained was to finish the lining. For the chain hangers I used some small stainless hooks I got from bunnings. I put a piece of elastic at the bottom to hold the chains in place.
And that's it. I hope you enjoyed the journey with me.
Lessons learnt this time, super glue doesn't stick to smooth polystyrene and don't ever white wash fine Birdseye maple [emoji16].

Great result in the end. I found some self adhesive felt at a local Spotlight store and found that was great for sticking to the rolls and no mess.

Looks good. I usually space the rolls a little, as some rings are wider, up to say 3mm, and stick them to the bottom. It helps to keep them nice & even.
I think in future I'll be using tape to stick the leather/fabric to the rolls after my experience with the crumbling rings.
