The Wavy Box
I call it that because of the flowing curves and indentations through out the box. It's also a good way to fix the tearout from the eyes when thickness planing. I started on this design with a smaller pine box and it looked good so I planned for this box using birdseye maple and walnut. It turned out pretty good.

Great. Just makes you want to pat all the bumps. And icing on top.

Sigh. Another artist raising the bar for the rest of us. Never thought I would see a bird'seye maple project that looked good.

I love it
Regular geometric shapes have their place and look nice but this is a welcome change!

Welcome to the forum. Very nice looking box - a change from the usual squared edges.

"If a man is after money, he's money mad; if he keeps it, he's a capitalist; if he spends it, he's a playboy; if he doesn't get it, he's a never-do-well; if he doesn't try to get it, he lacks ambition. If he gets it without working for it; he's a parasite; and if he accumulates it after a life time of hard work, people call him a fool who never got anything out of life."

Great looking box and clever design. Any chance of seeing the interior?

I'd show the inside but it's nothing to sneeze at, just a little poly, no lining. Thanks for all the comments.
