Wheatley fly boxes
I am building a few fly boxes for christmas presents.
I have been using normal 1"x 3/4" brass hinges but after looking at the wheatley fly boxes on line, I see they use what looks like a butt hinge that is flush fitting on the outside of the box.
I can't see any hinge rebates on the inside of the box.
I am from Scotland and this is my first post, so if anyone can direct me to a simple fit flush fit hinge, that lets the box open 180 deg. I would appreciate the help.
I just want to make the best looking box I can, and I have to say the hinges rebated into the inside of a flybox detract from the build quality when it is full of flies.
thanks

Hi and welcome TS!!
I did a search on "box hardware in the UK" and came up with a couple, plus a supplier from here in Oz.
In Australia
Veneer Inlay Australia
In or selling to the UK.
Hinges: Wooden Box Hardware Supplies - Wholesale
Box Hardware | Hinges, Latches, Catches and more
You may be able to find more using a search or finding a craft shop near you.
Regards,
Rob
