WIP cutlery canteen
I have some nice quartersawn silky oak (don't know if it is grevillea or cardwellia) that will become the sides of a cutlery canteen in this style

I'm also going to incorporate some of this timber. I found it as one short piece of pencil round board from a demolition of a mid 90's bathroom renovation. I wish I looked more carefully at the rest of it. I took it to the woodshow where it was identified almost certainly as Flindersia pimenteliana (maple silkwood) by the qld maple man and possibly as pacific maple/meranti. I'm inclined to call it maple silkwood.
Cheers
Michael
