Thread: Woodturners of the Hunter FREE Palett Box Plans

Woodturners of the Hunter are pleased to notify the Boxmaking forum that the next in our series of Free Boxmaking Plans are available from our website at Woodturners of the Hunter: Woodturners of the Hunter.

This box, designed and planned by our two Club boxmaking tutors Greg Laurence and Ron Taylor is a simple box which our Club has used to teach skills to our boxmaking students (many of the fairer sex) some of which have had little or NO experience in woodworking. It teaches skills in material preparation, use of machinery, assembling, and finishing all as a prelude to honing further skills in woodworking and boxmaking.

The box uses inexpensive and readily available materials, but also has a deal of appeal when finished as we have found out this weekend at the Newcastle Regional Show where we sold heaps of these boxes. The box lends itself to many different finishing treatments some of which are detailed in the plans.
