How much woody pear for a box?
Hello all.
I am trying to use some Western Australian woody pear to make some craftsmen packs. As I have never made boxes before, I would like to make sure that each of the packs that I make have enough timber for craftsmen like you.
The thickness of the (fully air dried) woody pear boards are anywhere between 25mm and 100mm, and the lengths are also varied. The WA woody pear are mainly end boards and usually not straight.
And now my question...
How much should I put in a pack, roughly? (e.g. 20kg worth) or (3 small bits with a certain surface area)
Should I keep the thicknesses the same, but mix the lengths?
Is there any other things that I am not thinking of?
Cheers guys
