    Hi FC

If there is still a piece going I might as well have a go. Will have to come and pick it up.

    Well sort of.....

It is very quick and easy, however whilst it s free of charge for the payer, it costs the payee 3.5% + $0.30, so not quite as cheap as direct deposit.

Where it really wins out is for overseas payments, beats Visa charges and/or bank drafts.

So, when we pay FC, we have to bear in mind that he only gets about $0.95 for every dollar we pay him.

I rounded up so FC won't be out of pocket.
3.5% for the first $100 plus 30 cents

so if its $20 its 70 cents plus 30 cents, total cost $1.00

If it was $100 its $3.50 plus 0.30 total cost $3.80

I don't have any problems with that.
Heaps cheaper than a postal note, envelope & stamp
And its so fast & conveneient

And much much easier to track than bank deposits which can be a real pita if an error or ommission is made in the senders id.

Certainly agree with that, I was just pointing out hat there is a charge to the recipient just in case some people were not aware of that.

What I particularly like about Paypal also is that they send the recipient an email advising them who has sent them money and how much, they also email an receipt to the payer. Very efficient system, and it almost happens in real time.
None of this crap that the banks dish out, pay Friday 9pm, recipient sees money in their account Tuesday am!

And it is much easier to get your money back if the recipient doesn't send the goods (better watch out FC!)

If this worries you, Big Shed, you should have taken notice of Wongo's advice: FC is a minor, you would have just contributed to his pocket money!

If he really is, of course. Who said that over the net every man is a woman, every woman is (I forgot, I want to live) and every kid is an FBI agent?
