Good news!
Chris Vesper said he'd love to help! So we now have one of our judges!
and also..
The Camphor for the challenge is now sitting down in my workshop ready to be docked into 750mm length. Some of it may be slightly wider or thicker but essentially they're all 150mm x 20mm. I'll dock them up tonight.
...and I tell ya, I sure am glad you guys have offered to help pay for it all. $140 all up! And that's with employee discount!
*sigh*

When you pay for the postage just add on whatever you'd like to contribute.
I have enough timber for 21 people so I'm not gonna run out

so $140 divide by 21 = say $7.50 for timber,
whats the likely postage component?
You got paypal FC?

I'm guessing postage will be somewhere around $12
Dad has paypal, Bob
Actually at the moment only 16 people have signed up so I'm probably gonna have alot of timber left over for my own purposes (not a bad thing)
But you can still sign up people!
AUSSIE is now on the list

Bugger.... Will have to pass on this one. Have an exhibition and prepare for a month in Canada In the next six weeks. Could be a bit short on time. This retirement bit is bloody hard work.

Hooey! Done!
All board cut and edges planed (for some reason at work boards aren't edge jointed)
If you're expecting a wonderful, square, perfectly smooth, defect free board you're gonna be disappointed. Some of the boards have knotty bits, most aren't square (not terrible but just a bit out) Some (2) have some loverly fiddleback. Timber is an unpredictable medium an you just gotta take the good with the bad.
But it's not all bad, the boards look ugly (surface dirt etc.), but once planed off they are quite nice
I shall probably send payment details etc. around tomorrow. But don't worry you can still enter if you haven't already.
Wendy and Frank&Earnest are also on the list
