Default Cutting circles with a router

Does anyone have a link/plan, for a circle cutting jig? I need to cut 6 disks that are 280mm diameter.
    Thanks,
    Felixe

    Felixe - try this

I have to ask though, if you use this forum then you can use the web, and that link was the first hit when I enter "circle cutting jig for router" into Google, so why not have a look for yourself first?

If it's just a one off, you can use a piece of thin sheet material eg mdf and screw the router to one end. Plunge the bit you're going to use through the sheet, then measure 280mm from the inside edge of the bit back along the sheet and drill a hole at that point for a nail to anchor the centre of the jig.

    Cheers

Searching for "circle cutting jig" will reveal plenty.

There is a longish thread discussing this back in July http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com...t.php?p=340366 that shows a couple of my jigs including one that does not require a central hole.

it must be all in the wording, I typed in circle jig & router and got diddly squat!! I did find this very unusual.
Thanks for the help and pointing out the obvious!

This router compass works to as small as about 130mm radius (YMMV), and doesn't impose a depth penalty, because it doesn't use an auxiliary base plate:

For your information What I should have added is, my circle cutting jig will rout a circle of 40mm Diameter
and is capable of a great variety of Radii even when adding an extension to it you can rout large radius circles

Here's a quick fix that might make some cringe....but it worked....

Reverse the rails on the edge guide and whack in a dowell...
