Homemade dovetail jig
Hi all.
I'm bulding my own homemade dovetail jig and I'm using the design which was publicated on Shopnotes. The design is very similar, not exactly, to leigh jig. I already have built the support and only need to build the fingers. I've thought in making with polyester resin, using a mold, but I don't know what measure should I use to build the fingers.
Can anyone please send the measure of the Leigh fingers?. If not could anyone explain me what measure should I use?
Thank you

I would think that sort of information, if supplied, would become a copyright infringement. I have a Leigh and I'm certainly not happy to supply the information required.

Shouldn't they just be the width of the router guide bushing you're going to be using with your dovetail bit?

I think that I couldn't violate the copyright laws, the design isn't exact to Leigh fingers. They use 2 fingers for make the pins and the tails, in my case I'd only use one finger, the design is provided by Shopnotes in the issue 43, but I don't have very clear the measurments for the fingers.
In the issue they say that the width could be as we want, but I don't know if I have to use a different guide bush for each finger or I can use only one guid bush and move the router through the finger.
Perhaps I don't explain it very good, but my knowledge in woodworking aren't large, in addition my english isn't good also.
