Think you can by using the variable spacer.

There is a jig called the Katy Jig. mIt preceded the Leigh.

If you ask Woodlie nicely he can send you the plans on how to make a very similar jig. Would be as good, probably as what you want, cost less, and you have the fun of making it.

I have the BC24 and love it. It is a quality machine and does everything I need to do. The best thing is that it is easy to get perfect repeatable dovetails and I don't have to spent hours re-reading the manual if I put it away for any length of time. I could go on with the dust collection, customer service, blah, blah, blah.....

How did your Akeda jig importation go? And is it worthwhile compared to the Leigh D4R costs?

Good. Shipped from thejigstore.com in US.

With the jig and the basic kit of guides and bits from memory all up it was about USD 540

Here's a test using the more expensive kit I think inc comparison of costs with a Leigh:

Yes we have been appointed the Australian & New Zealand agents for Akeda Jigs. We are waiting for the next production run as stocks are currently low in Canada & the US so we will wait a month or so until they're readily available. Hi,

We have now got the Trend (UK) version of the AKEDA jig available in METRIC.

The only significant difference is that the 1/8" pin grid is now 2.5mm. An ideal jig for those who want to do through dovetails, infact any style of dovetails, box joints etc.. Build quality, ruggedness and versatilty are great as is the fact that it's an adjustment free design.

These will be up on our web-site later today, all things going to plan!!
