    Default Mini Table Saw Insert

The attached indicates the rough cut out for my insert (blade is 5.5” OD). In the opening shown I want to make a lip all around about 1/4” wide by 1/8” deep for my insert to sit snug. All corners will be rounded

I think I have to make a template for my router to ride along and cut the lip + to make the insert itself afterwards. Is there a way to make this work without a template which is time consuming?

I have a set of bushings from 1” all the way down to 5/16” and I only have a big 10 Amp router. Ideal would have been a palm router which I don’t have.

    Thanks

Could you not just use a rabbeting bit with a bearing?

It’s a good idea, let me have a look what I have and see how this may work
