I have found a UK supplier of 6 mm solid carbide spiral bits here: http://www.knighton-tools.co.uk/acat...r_Cutters.html . The bit has an 8 mm shank which should fit in a 5/16" bushing adaptor, and has a cutting length of 30 mm. The bit is supposedly for routing aluminium, but presumably should work on wood also.
