Default A quick nasty Dado jig! For book case.

    Hi all

Well the SWMBO (She Who Must Be Obeyed!) has been nagging me senseless to build “Sprout” (the bun in the oven!) a book shelf/tower for his/her bedroom.

I spotted a dado jig on the net that is a simple L shaped jig made of three quarter ply, so I ripped a few pieces and got started.

    Measured everything.

    The veritas block plane treatment

a quick lick of paint and they will be done! a weekends worth!

The Dado jig is quick accurate and a breeze to use! try it! just remember to clamp it down otherwise you will have some really wonky dado's!

    Cheers

    Milo

I'm sure the "Sprout" will love it.

If I could make a suggestion - a couple of brackets and screwed to a couple of studs. Kids don't think like adults - they are great climbers and really quick.

I'll second Bob's suggestions - I'm up to grandkids now, but the habits are the same . . .

And I'd have to add that I don't really go along with the thread title. Quick, yes - but certainly not nasty!
