Rocker, no question the jig I mentioned has limitations. It is very useful and easy to make. I see the advantages in your simplified jig. It has been my experience that the more varieties of jigs to perform a given job you see, the higher the probability of generating new ideas and perhaps even an improved jig. This is one of the reasons I try to share ideas from the US / Canada with all the Oz woodworkers and have invited them to come share with us at: www.routerforums.com
