    Default Making Wheels

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away (before babies entered our lives... well actually 3 days after Charlie was born), Rick Rine posted a query about a router jig for rounding of wheels for toys.

Recently I made a table and chairs that used 24 rounded off wheels as feet:
    http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com...ad.php?t=37312

In order to round off the wheels I made up the attached jig. The rear pillar is height adjustable to allow for wheels of different thicknesses. I used countersunk screws to hold the wheel onto the jig, so the problem is that for axle fitting there is a countersunk hole on each side. Anyway, it made getting through both sides of 24 wheels pretty easy.

Excuse me - I'm rather thick. I don't get it. How is it used?

I'm interested too. This could be ground breaking stuff.

Sorry guys - have been busy lately. It's to be used on a router table with a round over bit, as BobL says - nice drawing of the router bit too, thanks. A screw through the centre of the wheel (on the bottom right of the picture) holds it on the axle. Here's another try...
