Thread: 2 pack Epoxy or one pack poly?

Went with Estapol 7008 (2 pack polyester) as it is supposed to be one of the hardest wearing around.
Stinks a bit but only for a couple of hours and the smell drops significantly once it is touch dry (4 hours)

Here's what it looks like after one coat.
It only comes in high gloss so I will be cutting it back to a satin/matt finish with fine steel wool after the last coat.
Have put three more coats on since.
Will take a pic once it is all done.

So I guess thats one off the bucket list. Yes I would have went for the 7008... and the thinners to get high on.


Completely off topic Bob, have you heard anything from Alex B and what he might be doing this year?

Not totally off my plate yet, still have to cut it back with the steel wool and move all the crap back.
While moving the very expensive fully plumbed in coffee machine I discovered its base was rusty - more repairs - will it ever stop.
Just another penalty of owning too much crap I guess.

Benchtop is done, It doesn't look like it but the finish is quite matt.
It's also tough and a bit flexible which is needed for s soft timber like Oregon.
We're very happy with it and it should last a while.

Panorama shot didn't quite turn out as well as I wanted - I will drag out the panoramic tripod head and see what I can do.
