Advice re staining solid veneer
Hi, am hoping for some advice.
I have floating floorboards, made by Amerind and are of solid veneer in the 'danta' style - which is meaning is a mixture of woods with an overall reddish tinge. I would like to stain and then clear coat this flooring to obtain a more brownish dark walnut type. I know i will still end up with a mixture of shades but am looking for an overall brownish appearance . Any ideas if this is do-able and if so any product suggestions.
Most appreciate your time.
Thanks

the word solid and veneer should never be in the same sentance around here
Yes you can stain it...
Floors are a big area to stuff up. Pro's will be twice the price, but in half the time, and the job will be done better. I'd get the pro's in. for at least a quote.

Thanks lumber,
The term was used by the guy selling it, so much for leading by example.
Anyway, do you know much about combination of stain and poly being ok to do or am i asking for trouble as the poly wears away sooner than later.
