    Default antique restoration

    hi guys , i've been asked to tutor a antique restoration and woodwork class,
    the problem is that i'm not up to speed on the finishing side of antiques.eg polishes ,shelac ,stains.any advise (links, books in australia )or genral knowledge) will be most helpfull, thnks..luc

    G'Day luc - Have a look here http://www.ubeaut.com.au/book.html the book was written for Restoration classes we used to run years ago and is widely used in restoration and finishing classes throughout Australia. Also check out http://www.ubeaut.com.au/ubhome.htm there is a lot of product used for restoration work, Shellac, waxes, etc.
