    Default U Beaut Hard Shellac

    Hi.

I have stained a guitar body and neck with u beaut dye stains and applied a couple of coats of U Beaut de waxed white shellac.

This is my first real 'outing' and as far as I can tell things are going OK (since the timbermate filler takes stain)

I was trying to decide whether to finish up with spray can clear nitro cellulose or U Beaut hard shellac.

Is there any reason why I couldn't use both?

Would I have to wait till the hard shellac cures before lightly sanding and continuing with the spray can Nitrocellulose?

    TIA

    RobSm

shelac is so asy to apply by hand, why bother spraying, i just make a little rubber and it comes up shiny in no time, if that nitrosoxide, ahhh i mean nitro cellulose can b used with shelac than a topcoat of that would make it really tough...maybe the hard shelac is enough, only do what is necessary ...

what's a spray can of nitro worth ?

More uniform coat, gets into all the small areas, crack, carvings, etc.

If I could remember all I've forgotton I wouldn't need to learn so much more, as it is I forget what I learnt, what I forgot and what I need to learn to forget.
