    Default camp kitchen finishing help

    Hi all,
I have built a camp kitchen for my camper trailer. But I’m stuck! I have no idea how to finish it with.
I have used 17mm ply with the good nice looking side facing out. IV laminated the top with laminex. So all I need to do it the inside and the outside. The outside will spend most of its time in the trailer and with my custom drawer runners and trailer setup it won't get bashed around. The time spent out it will get some direct sunlight, id imagine a shower of rain may get to it one day when I’m not watching and offcourse a spilt drink or beer. So I would like it to be durable and still have the timber look (no paint). I really need help with how to prepare it and how to finish it, as this is all I have to do before I bolt it in....also very worried it will warp before this happens.

    Cheers Sean

Marine varnish or Rustins Plastic Coating, I used Rustins on mine 10 years ago it was still holding up after 6 years when I sold it

    Hi,
I used interior Polyurethane on my camp kitchen, also made from ply. The paint man told me that interior Poly is actually made harder to resist the knocks and wear that interior surfaces get compared to exterior which offers UV protection but is not as wear resistant. Now I don't really know if that's true but it is lasting well.
    Good luck with it!
    Cheers,
    Steck

Be sure that your kitchen plans comprise a make over that does not discredit the finishing touch of a kitchen: the countertop.
