Default Danish Oil - Dribble Lines in Dry Film

I made a mistake with my first effort with danish oil. After applying the third coat with a brush, I missed a section when wiping off the excess oil. I now have two dribble lines of dried oil.

What is the best way to remove these? I am not sure whether to use a solvent, wet-and-dry, sanding, etc.

    Any ideas?

Try using a solvent before attempting wet sanding ( with the wet being the danish) .
What is the object and how big is it ?

It is the vertical side frame of the back of a chair. There are 2 dribbles about 10cm long.

What grade of sand paper do you suggest?

The same grade as you last used in the wood before applying the first coat.
    Try solvent first tho

    Hi PeteT,
I sometimes cut these dribbles with a sharp chisel, then sand. There-after I re-apply the finish with a cloth several times until it's all even again. Does soak up time but worth it.

    cheers
