Default Danish Oil V Hard Shellac

Hi All, I have finished a Blackwood topped electric guitar with Feast and watson danish oil followed by their buffing oil. Its a nice finish but I would like a harder finish to protect a bit better from light bumps. Would Ubeaut Hard Shellac provide a tougher finish than what I have. If I use the Hard shellac what prep work is now required. Thanks in advance for any constuctive comments. Kev

Go Tru-Oil, too easy to use, nice glow, plenty hard once cured.
