Thread: Feast Watson Timber Decking Oil - when to recoat

I am planning to make a deck and cubby house using Alaskan Yellow Cedar, and finish it with Feast Watson Timber Decking Oil. I have read the advice to oil the decking boards both sides before assembling the deck. The instructions on the oil say you can recoat after one hour. What I would like to know is whether you need to recoat soon after one hour is passed, or whether you can come back the next day or in a couple of days to apply another coat.

I understand that some oils, when they are fully dry, create a seal that prevents further oil from penetrating into the wood. Is that the case with the Timber Decking Oil.

Any advice anyone can provide would be appreciated.
