What to Finish a Bedside Table with.
I am fairly inexperienced in finishing any furniture. I have used Tung Oil, and Shellawax in the past, but it was so long ago I have forgotten what to do.
I have made a bedside table from recycled Hardwood Timber. (picture of timber, before it was glued together) No idea what timbers are in there. I think there is at least 3 different types of timber (as they are different weights, etc).
I would be looking at something that is fairly easy to get a decent finish, and will be a matte or satin. Was thinking of using the FW Kitchen Timber Oil. Not sure if there are better finishes?
Are there any good guides on how to achieve the best finish, with sanding etc?
Also what is the best method to seal MDF? I am looking at using spray paint on some MDF drawers for the unit.
