Finishing lanolin soaked flooring
Trying to work out what to put on flooring that has been produced from old shearing shed beams which are soaked with lanolin. I assume a film finish will ultimately not adhere. Would a wax finish bind with the lanolin over time and buff-up OK or just go milky?

Lucky you rang the other day. Not much joy here. If you haven't got the shellac yet I should have some on Tuesday or Wednesday..

I have used Rustins Danish Oil over small timber jobs which have had Lanolin on them no problem yet.
The Lanolin will buff up on its own to a nice high gloss. I recall seeing the old woolen mills building in Sydney where the workers had spent years rubbing past the timber work all high polished.
