    Default Finshing Exterior Timber

    Does anyone have any old wives remedies for protecting laminated structural pine.

    Building my daugther a shade house and she doesn't want it painted but wants an apperance much like Shellac.
    Linseed oil is not suited for out doors neither of course is Shellac, and most commercial finishes are not cheap to say the least.
    Decking oil is an option but maybe there is something else??
