HELP from start-finish
I am still in High School and I have built a Solid Oak Rotating Gun Cabinet. The Cabinet has a spindle going up threw the middle which I hooked a 6rpm motor on the top to turn it. It looks really good. Last year in the competition that our school hold I placed first. This year I want first again, but i need help. I need advice on sanding. LIke going from this grit to this and what grits I should use. How many times to wet it down and when to wet it down. Staining tips and ALOT of advice on Polying. Thanks..

Firts of all get a coppy of neils "polishers handbook" it almost as good as cheating. seriously it will answer a lot of questions.
second search the board. There have been son extended discussions about sanding, sanding sealer, poly varnish and real laquer. hours or good reading.
I would recomend you look at some other form of finish for two reasons.
1. serious finish = workshop cred'
2. you will have a much more enjoyable time and a better result
it will also look better on your resumae.
Where do you get poilsher handbook?
Any serious tool joint like carbatec or timbecon.

Most powertools have sharp teeth.
People are made of meat.
Abrasives can be just as dangerous as a blade.....and 10 times more painfull.
