    Default HVLP Turbine Recommendations needed.

Hi All, my compressor is on it last legs and since I only really use it for spraying I am considering replacing it with a dedicated HVLP Turbine setup.

I know Carbatec have a $499 Earlex unit but I am after something a little better. Can anyone recommend a unit for me, or know of a store in Melbourne worth checking out?

I can only seem to find $500 and $2500 units, nothing inbetween....

    thanks
    Joez

    These guys do them.

AA Spray - Fine Finish HVLP Sprayers

Not having used them before so can't comment on how good they are.

No affiliation with the company either sorry.

    Default HVLP Sprayers

    Hi Joez,

Try Apollo or Wagner if you have excess capital at hand. They have a very wide specification range across a number of price points.

The Earlex unit you reference gives a very good professional result incidentally if you use a quality lacquer and you have the necessary skill techniques. I've used one now for about three years with excellent results but I've only sprayed Shellac and Pre cat lacquer plus some two pack. I don't know how it would go with high viscosity paints.

    Cheers Old Pete

    Thanks Talorien and Old Pete.

I really like the look of those Apollo Units, spoke to the Local Distributor and they only carry a few models, the higher end machine they stock is an older model too when compared to the Apollo Website (offcourse they are like 80% more in Australia too).

I've emailed the manufacturer overseas as they make a 240v version, well see what they come back with.
