    Default Intergrain UVC

I'm working on a camphor laurel slab which will be used a table on a deck.

Deck is covered and facing North, which means table will get winter sunlight and occasional rain blowing in.

Tried Intergrain Ultradeck on offcut, don't like result as light wood turned brown and coloured wood was subdued. Dimension 4 produces good result but DWD over that would not appeal.

Anyone used Intergrain UVC in a similar situation? Or another suitable clear water-based product?

    Thumbs down Intergrain Uvc

You have already found out why you should not use Intergrain.
The best suggestion, IMHO and from pesonal experience, is to use FeastWatson Weathershield.
Seal the slab first with their sealer.
The Weathershield comes from the can with a slight purplish tint but dries clear.
I suggest doing this when the temp is no more than 26* as it tends to go ropey quite quickly under hot conditions.
Use a broad lambswool applicator and work quickly.

I did thsi on my large and beautiful Bunya Pine outdoor table 7-8 years ago.It get some sun occasionally and the odd bit of light rain. Is still in the condition it was when fisrt done.

Checked out the F & W Weatherproof, looks good except that it's high gloss finish, and the boss wants low sheen.

    More research needed..............
