    Default Keeping it rustic

    hi,

I know this table probably looks ugly to a lot of people but i really like this table and i think it has charm. The only problem is..how can I remove the shiny coating without sanding and without bleaching the timber???

(the timber is very fibourous and the table has a removalist sticker from WA to Tassie on it so i'm not sure hwat timber it is)

try a bit of steel wool and metho! just take it slow until you like the effect, then give it a dose of sudsy water then a coat or two of shellac, I think it will come up as you like it
