Low VOC clear over paint
Afternoon all,
Currently making a tractor shaped bed for my son, which is made out of MDF. It has been roughly a month since the pieces were cut, and I've sealed all the edges and painted. I have heard that the glue used to make MDF may release gas for a while.
I want to clear coat the whole thing to provide some additional protection to the paint. I'm wondering if it would it be worth using a low VOC clear coat to try and minimise the gas release as much as possible, or is it a bit of a non-event and I'm over thinking it (or maybe that wouldn't be effective anyway)? I'd be keen to hear some thoughts, and if anyone happened to have any product recommendations.
I hope I'm not covering old ground, I did try and do a search. Thanks for your time.
